go to http://www.neo-modus.com and go to the downloads section.

Download "Direct Connect (Full Install)" and install it.

Download "Direct Connect Hub" and install it.

Run the Direct Connect Hub software and configure it.

I already did all that man, but when i go on dc++ to try to connect 2 my hub it wont work, i dont know if i did something wrong my dc hub or not.

it keeps comming up connection refused by target machine

Ok, here we go, now we're getting somewhere.

Are you using a dynDNS, like myhub.no-ip.com? or are you manually putting your IP address into dc hub's settings?

What port have you set dc hub to use?

if you are running dc hub and DC++ on the same machine, try connecting to 127.0.0.1

ok, don't use MyHub.no-ip.com (wonder who has that address registered... huh)

go to http://www.whatismyip.com and then use that number for Hub Address.

We have been going quickly back and forth, but I have to go to work, so i won't be able to answer anything for about 5 more hours. Good luck man.

In DC++, open up the Public Hubs window. There is a box that says "Manual Connect Address". Put 127.0.0.1 in there.

127.0.0.1 is a loop back for all puter.
so giving 127.0.0.1 as a ip to friends they will only try to connect to there own puter
give them your no-ip adress make sure it reflect your actual ip.

Check out http://www.no-ip.com. That is where you can register a domain name, i.e. bhangra-hiphop.no-ip.com. When the form at no-ip.com asks for your IP address, make sure it's your real IP address (not 127.0.0.1), like TheNOP said.
As stated before, http://www.whatismyip.com will provide you with your real IP.

Then put that new domain name in your Hub Address box and happiness ensues.

You need some scripts. Take a gander at the sticky post at the top of this forum called "Sticky: Hub Script site list" to start your search.

They disguised it pretty well, but there is a free service on no-ip.com, it's buried in there somewhere. I'm using it and don't pay anything.

As to the script error, we need to know the exact error message, and when it occurs, and what script your using.

TBH, I may not be able to help you much with script error messages in Neo-Modus's DC Hub software. I haven't ran it for over a year.

If neo-modus's DC Hub is giving you major problems, you can always graduate to Ptokax, http://ptokax.box.cz/site/, it's a different/better? hub software. (of course only until DCH++ comes out

)

alright i am now using, protox n it iz working fine... i think...

i went bak 2 the no-ip website and i found the free domain, and i had created it bhangra-hiphop.no-ip.com and it had sed it will activate in 5 min but for sumreason it still wont work, if ppl try to connect to it.

Er... please do remember that if your hub is running on port 412 you have to connect to 127.0.0.1:412

only the adress just works when the hub runs on port 411 (default).

I'm having a similar problem, but the opposite. I'm having no problems connecting to my own hub, but other people can't connect to it. I also have the same problem with my ath.cx website. I can see it when i connect to it on my own computer, but other people can't... Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Sounds like you need to get some ports forwarded to your webserver/hub. Port 411 (by default hubs run on this port, but this number can be changed) and port 80 (for your webserver) need to be forwarded to your local machine.

I have my own cable modem, windows xp, i'm using skor.no-ip.com for my hub, and apache + skor.ath.cx for my website, if any of that helps

Found out why your webserver is not working. OptOnline blocks all incoming connections on port 80. You will have to run your webserver on a port other than 80, like mywebserver.no-ip.org:1234. It's a pain. I'm very mad about it myself.
