some help needed

Post by alexbaby » 2003-08-31 17:38

Hey people,

First of all, I want to thank you for your useful information regarding the hublists, it has really been a big help for a newbie like me :D :D :D

My problem, however is this: I can log on to some of the hubs, but most of the time I get this error message: "This hub is running PtokaX DC Hub 0.3.2.6 TestDrive 4 (UpTime: 12 hours, 41 minutes)" and then I'm disconnected, can anyone tell me what this means, and what I can do about it? Then I still have a (maybe stupid) question. If you search for certain files, lets say some music, is it possible to enter some specific information? Example: I want to find craig david 's song "spanish", is it possible to type both things at the time in the searchbar, so I can get more specific results? And one last thing, if the download is too slow, is there a way to accelerate it? Thx a lot for your help!!

greets,

alexbaby :wink: :wink: 8) :P

What client are you using.? PtokaX hubs disconnect unknown client tags.

No, try using ADL search instead.

I wish, but alas no. :cry:

Help --> About

is usually a good way to find out what program you are using. That generally applies to any piece of software.

Try installing DC++ 0.251, get it Here

Copy your *.xml files into program folder and you will retain your setting's, fav's and downloads.
