Setting up IP Authentication?

Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

Setting up IP Authentication?

Post by mike.FBA » 2003-12-29 23:00

I can't see any way to set up IP authentication between the D++ client and the hub (say for example the Neo-Modus hub). I want to use the hub privately, and want to make sure only certain users can access the hub. Is there a way to veryify the inbounf IP, or better yet, a way to reverse the connection for validation?

Thanks very much for your help,
Mike. :)

Simplest thing is use a firewall and limit it to the IP(s) you want. There are also scripts one can use to block everyone out. Take a look at this list of script sites

The most important step is never registering your hub with a public hub list.
