downloading games with dc...

Post by Raziel » 2004-04-18 13:15

I have been downloading games succesfully and I have gotten two kind of games.
The old games work properly cause you don`t have to copy but I dont know what to do with the BIN and CUE files in the new games...
Shoud I make an exact copy of the file to cd or just put the files in :?:
I feel myself very stupid when asking something like this but I realy don`t know :?

Use a cd creation program like nero (or whatever) and burn the cue+bin. just choose "burn image" in the program of use and choose the cue file. the cue file is just a small text file with settings for the bin file. Alternatively you can use a program like daemon-tools as a virtual cd-rom

Did you mean just the cue or both?

Open the .CUE as a CD image - it references the bin (look at it - it's a text file). Don't try to make a new CD image and drag both to it. (as some people are wont to do.)

I burned the cue file and installed the game but when I try to play, it says something like put the correct disc or something... :x

Your questions up to this one have been perfectly acceptable. This one, however, crosses over to a topic that we really shouldn't be discussing publicly here. Check your PM.
